Our Values.
Faith.
Our faith begins and ends in the one true Savior, Jesus Christ (John 1:1). By faith, we believe that Gods word, the Holy Bible, is the true and all inspired text of the Creator and is profitable for His purposes (2 Timothy 3:16). We believe that God sent His Only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to the Earth to save us from our sins (John 3:16). We believe Jesus lived a sinless life and was crucified on a cross as a payment for our sins. If you believe in your heart that Jesus is the Savior, confess with your mouth He is Lord, and you are a sinner who needs Him, you are saved (Romans 10:8-10)!
Church.
We believe that the assembly of members and the open door for guests is essential for growth in the body of Christ. We believe the Church is, however, those who have confessed Christ as Lord and are placing their faith in Him. We do not believe that membership to a local church is a part of salvation. We believe that we are called to be a hospital to those who are hurting and broken, a training post to those who are wanting to grow, and a lighthouse to those who are lost and looking for hope.
Family.
We believe that the family is the most important unit in the church. It is designed by God to be a positive influence in the lives of every member. We believe God designed a husband and a wife to become one through marriage. We believe that Scripture defines that as a man and woman created by God to be the heads of the family. Children are a heritage of the Lord and commanded by God to honor and respect their parents. We believe this model of family, in one accord, can be the key to a stronger Church body.
Community.
Our desire at Mill Creek is to be a church for the community, in the community, and of the community. We want to minister in our community where we were placed over 160 years ago. We believe we are still relevant in our community today. We want to partner with other churches to show unity among the body of believers. We want to give hope to those who are hurting and need Jesus in our neighborhood. We are a community church with a community mindset.
